Philipp E. Ross published in August 2006 a study in Scientific American named “The Expert Mind” which pointed out that to achieve a state of full expertise in a particular subject one needs 10 years of experience.
Before that, in 1993 the psychologist Anders Ericsson, wrote an article proposing the rule of 10,000 hours, stating that the stage of excellence can only be achieved after practicing a subject for a such number of hours.

This time we will be taking everybody to the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales, the 2010 host of the Ryder Cup Golf tournament.

Noel Maye is the chief executive officer of Financial Planning Standards Board Ltd. (FPSB), a nonprofit association that benefits the global community by establishing, upholding and promoting worldwide professional standards in financial planning. Before joining FPSB, Noel was senior vice president of Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. During his nine-year tenure with CFP Board, Noel oversaw the International, Legal, Consumer & Public Affairs, and Communications Departments, and served as corporate spokesperson. Prior to joining CFP Board, Maye was an associate with Ogilvy, Adams & Rhinehart, a New York-based public relations firm, where he specialized in working with financial services clients including Chemical Bank, Financial Guarantee Insurance Company and CFP Board.
